The term "upcycling" may still be new to many of us. Simply put: it is an improved way of recycling. In upcycling one does not just give new life to something that is already deemed useless or considered a waste material; but one gives it a better life. It is all about adding value. Negative to positive. Trash to treasure.
Green Everyday Living Tips
What can you do this coming week that's both earthly and heavenly; temporal and spiritual?
Weekend markets that offer green products--- organic, earth-friendly and healthy --- are a favorite destination for my family. I have been on a blogging hiatus so long; but I just have to write to announce the opening of Mercato Centrale at the BGC.

If the holidays are a time for giving, why do we always expect something in return? With so many people unemployed, homeless and starving today, we cannot afford to sit back and do nothing. There are plenty of organizations around the country that are committed to helping people in need, but that shouldn't stop you from lending a helping hand this holiday season. You don't have to volunteer every waking hour or donate your retirement savings to a charity in order to give back. Even the smallest deeds, such as visiting a lonely senior citizen on Christmas day or cooking a meal for a needy family goes a long way.
Despite rumours, being Green actually is pretty easy. It often involves simply not doing some things, and doing other things differently. Most Greens simply avoid toxic environments and materials as much as they practice use of renewable energy, sustainable material sourcing, et cetera. Even in business, things like car insurance are going very Green, and they’re doing so as much on a practical basis as for any ideological reason.
In these rainy months, getting dengue is a concern. We used to buy these lotions to ward off mosquitoes from the grocery. They're safe they say; but of course, they meant for us to buy the product. Reading the ingredients, don't tell us much unless we're chemistry experts. There are alternative products available in the market though. I received a product endorsement from Echostore via email (I subscribed) and I'd like to share with you what they have.
Why say NO to bottled water?
I have the answers here. I got them from one of my favorite story tellers. They're , perhaps, the best animation creators on good life lessons next to PIXAR --- Free Range Studios. Well, perhaps not as good as PIXAR technically or aesthetically; but hey, it's all for FREE. They share all these stories to teach us some very valuable lessons. They're non-commercial---so non-commercial in fact that they may vex or slight many would-be sponsors in their clips but would not care.

Going green does not have to be boring. Going green is simply being thoughtful. How will I leave this world much better than when I found it?
The earth, sea, and sky are givens, and all we need to do is to be careful—that we do not waste resources as we go about our normal schedules.
