Topic:
Sustainable Materials
One of the greatest challenges connected to natural and environmental concern is long-term protection and safeguard of our resources. It is necessary to cut down on the use of raw materials so that we may preserve whatever resources we have for future generations. We can address this through practices that significantly reduce or eliminate negative impact of buildings on the environment. An important part of consumable goods can be conserved, salvaged or recycled. Understanding the significance of these materials will guide us to responsible use of natural resources leading to green and sustainable living.
Speaker:
Arch. Joven Ignacio, UAP is a practicing architect who has been invited as a speaker for various schools and professional organizations in and out of the country. He was equally awarded with fellowships by the Higher Education Funding Council of England for research work on energy-efficient design and by the Swedish International Development Authority for heritage architecture conservation and preservation.

WORD FROM THE SPONSOR
"Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." 1 Corinthians 4:2

Cost of the building is a valid and predominant concern. The design dictates costs. Some may cost higher than conventional alternatives; but for all, in the long run, when sustainability is the factor to be considered, the greener alternative should win out.

Green building really got some nice potential for the future. But are these green buildings are cheap enough to construct like traditional ones. Because if they are they can be really considered for mass construction.
